Here is the official tally for the name change to Sunset Hill’s Illiana Train Society. Number of member ballots received after the 12:00 noon cut off time on February 14, 2018
and Society members solicited who did not respond = Thirteen (13) Number of Ballots received before the 12:00 noon cut off time on February 14, 2018 = Seven (7) Number of ballots with “Yes” votes received for the name change = Seven (7) “Approved” Number of ballots with “No” votes received = Zero (0) “Not Approved” The “Yes” vote majority passed the name change, 7 to 0, 100% of the votes submitted. Illiana Garden Railway (IGRS) Is Gone

The Garden Railway layout at Samuelson's Greenhouse in Valparaiso is gone. It closed in 2017 and was dismantled.No G-scale trains will run there again.


The "Bull Moose Line" outdoor G-scale venue
is being relocated to Sunset Hill Farm County Park located at 775 Meridian Road,
 just north of Valparaiso.
In 2018 to more closely identify with this move to 
Sunset Hill Farm County Park 
the membership of the Society voted to change their name to Sunset Hill’s Illiana Train Society.

                  Lance Molenda, Owen Todd, George Sarver,Dave Ransom, Dave Casey, Gary Barneko    Sunset Hill's Illiana Train Society - Bull Moose Line  Set To Reopen May 10 Although still incomplete, after four years of development,  Sunset Hill’s Illiana Train Society is ready to unveil its reconstructed “Bull Moose Line” Railway Garden to the public on May 10, 2020. Weather permitting 
 Sunset Hill’s Illiana Train Society members 
will show the layout to Sunset Hill Farm visitors 
every weekend from 
May through September.

The overall design of the new Sunset Hill's Illiana Train Society venue is based upon the Original Model Railway Garden  designed and built within three months 
on the Samuelsons Greenhouse property in 2004.
