#1 Upper Reflection Pond and Waterfall

#1 Upper Reflection Pond and Waterfall
4,000 gallons of water per minute will flow through a filtration pump pushing water from the Lower Mill Pond, via a hidden piping system, to the Waterfall above the Upper Reflection Pond. From this small pond, encircled by a single rail track, the water will splash down a series of gurgling rock falls, within a trough of field stone, that leads down to the Lower Mill Pond.

The pond system forms the heart of the layouts design, giving the venue its visual height and depth. Indiana field stone will be used in the water features and throughout the "Bull Moose Line" railroad garden

A Branch Line Passenger and Freight Station

Current plans for the Sunset Hill's Illiana Train Society "Bull Moose Line" include the construction of a full size Branch Line Passenger and Freight Station on the north side of the outdoor garden railway layout. The building, an engine storage and staging facility, will also contain the power units  and controls for the five operating railway lines.

The Passenger and Freight Station will be situated so that the  engineer of the day will be able to follow the flow of trains around the garden through the Stations bay windows.
